Installation

First you need to download "iMesh". iMesh supports audio, video, images, documents, and other file formats. It features recommendations and an automated feature that lets people communicate with fellow file sharers.


Step 1
Download, install, and run iMesh. Register by entering a username, a password (twice), and your e-mail address when the wizard prompts you. Go to Tools > Options and click the locations tab. If the folder for downloaded files is acceptable, don't change it. If you want to choose another location, click the change button and select a new directory, then click OK at the bottom.

Step 2
Click the Search button in the toolbar. You will see 2 fields labeled "Search for" and "Type". Next to type select the type of file you are searching for (audio,video,images,software,documents). Next in the "Search for" field enter the name of or part of the name of what you are searching for, and hit the go button. Browse through the results that appear in the window. Double-click any file to download it.

Step 3
Click the Downloads button in the top most toolbar to see the progress of your downloads and cancel any downloads that you don't want. (Right-click and choose Cancel Download to do so.)

Step 4
Click the Library button in the toolbar. To play a file, browse through the folders in the left window, select it in the right window, and click the Play button in the Player window at the bottom right corner of the iMesh screen (it is signified by what looks like a Play button in your VCR)If you downloaded a program, you can go to C:\My Downloads to open the file you have just downloaded. This also applies if you want to burn a CD with the music you just downloaded.
